Liberation from the Kleshas:

A Workshop with Lisa “Asha” Rapplisa_seated1

Sunday, May 25th

Noon-2pm

(and Potluck Satsang immediately following at Satya Yoga!)

Join the much-beloved Lisa Rapp, in town from Hawaii for ONE CLASS ONLY, for a workshop exploring release and liberation from the Kleshas. Only through understanding our obstacles are we able to shed unnecessary habits, lead ourselves down a path of exploration and accountability, and free ourselves from all that shackles us to suffering.

Our asana work will be grounded in a discussion of the cycle of suffering (Samsara) as presented by Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras.

Lisa will interweave the teachings of Patanjali so that together we can walk the path to self-understanding, love, and appreciation, while holding ourselves to whatever fires we face in our kleshas. Asana practice becomes a laboratory for our research and discovery. We’ll look at why we practice, how we practice, and how we can realize a full potential from practice.

**THE LOCATION**
This workshop will be held in a ballroom in a private home in the Colonial Place neighborhood of Norfolk The address is 635 Mayflower Road. Take Colonial Avenue from Ghent all the way into the Colonial Place neighborhood (which begins after you cross over 35th St). Colonial will dead end at Mayflower, and you’ll veer left. The house is around the curve, on the water next to the church. Parking is available on the street, or in the church parking lot next door.

Immediately following, we’ll have a potluck satsang back at Satya, so bring a dish that’s ready to share – I WILL HAVE A FEW COOLERS FILLED WITH ICE IF WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING REQUIRES THAT – and we’ll celebrate our sweet teacher’s visit to Virginia! Hooray!
