Yoga In The Park!
There’s no better way to feel a steady and joyful connection to the Earth than by practicing yoga outdoors: the sounds of life enveloping you like a blanket, the sun and the wind kissing your skin, the knowledge that you are sandwiched lovingly between Earth and Sky…and then comes the bliss of feeling the energy of friendly people around you, sharing in a wonderful collective human experience.
Experience practicing yoga outdoors in beautiful Town Point Park in Downtown Norfolk once a month – including THIS SATURDAY, MAY 18TH - from April through October. Classes are all-level, so if you’re a beginner, we welcome you with open arms! These are donation-based classes, so pay what you can and practice among friends both old and new.

Inversion Workshop: Turning Your World Upside Down
Taught by Logan Taylor and Michael Dressler
Saturday, June 22nd,
Noon-2pm
$35
Most yogis will say their biggest challenge in their practice is mastering inversions. Not only do these poses require physical strength, they conjure up fears and limitations that we set within ourselves calling for our internal strength to make an appearance.
The first time you do an inversion unassisted, there is a rush of adrenaline followed by elation. Once the fear is defeated, the innumerable benefits of inversions can begin to do their magic.
If you are like most practitioners, your inversions could use some work. Logan and Michael will address the mechanics of poses like Headstand, Tripod Headstand, Shoulder Stand, Forearm Stand, and supported Legs up the wall. The focus will be on alignment, the use of props in these poses, as well as the preparatory poses which are vital building blocks to strengthen shoulders and improve balance.
